Description

  • Steel oil derrick constructed in the desert with some of the mechanical equipment visible, at the oil field of Chiah Surkh, Iraq. 

Background Information

  • Part of a photograph collection belonging to Ernest Kells who worked in Persia (modern Iran) in the 1920s.
