Description

  • A hinged brass trinket box with lid from Persia (modern Iran). 
  • The top and sides of the box are decorated with figures.
  • The top and two long sides show kneeling figures drinking and playing instruments.
  • The short sides are decorated in a floral pattern. 

Background Information

  • Purchased as a memento by Harry Smith in Persia (modern Iran).
